jen ridingJeni joined PCS in 2003 after working in Lake Oswego for 11 years as a small animal technician. She is a graduate of California State University San Bernardino with a BA in liberal arts.

An active member of the Oregon Dressage Society, Jeni served as president of North Willamette Valley chapter for 4 years, and managed the popular Spring into Dressage Show for 2 of those years. She competes in local level dressage competition with her marejeni head shot , Valentine, and looks forward to future competitions with her young warmblood gelding,  Gandolf.

Jeni lives in Beavercreek, Oregon with her husband, Jim, 4 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a parrot who controls her tack room.

 


Nikki James, CVT
Head Technician

nikki head shot Nikki became part of the team at PCS in January of 2001. Prior to joining us, she spent 5 years as a veterinary technician in a surgical referral hospital, where she was exposed to a wide variety of surgical and medical cases.

A lifelong horsewoman, Nikki grew up at the racetrack working alongside her father, who was nikki barrels a thoroughbred trainer for many years. As a youth, she participated in open and AQHA competition, and took up competitive barrel racing in 1995. In 1998 Nikki qualified for and competed at the NBHA regionals.

Nikki lives in Boring, Oregon with her husband, Pat, 3 Quarter Horses, 2 dogs, a love bird, and any number of feral cats in various stages of rehabilitation.


Val Zeek, BS
Veterinary Assistant


val head shotVal came to PCS in 2007, after spending 14 years as the barn manager for a large Warmblood breeding operation, and dressage training stable. She is a graduate of Oregon State University where she not only earned a BS in biology, but also kept busy as a herdsman and riding instructor for the OSU Horse center.val dressage

Val’s love of horses started early, as she grew up on a large farm in Molalla where her mother raised Arabians. She had her first pony at the age of 3, and was active in 4H throughout grade school and high school. Now a dressage enthusiast, Val has competed successfully through 3rd level, with both ODS and USDF regional championships to her credit.

Val currently lives on her parent’s farm with her 2 dogs, 6 horses and thousands of cats. 


Charlene Foetisch
Assistant

CharleneCharlene joined PCS in 2010 and alternates her time between helping in the office, assisting doctors in the trucks and caring for PCS’s resident horses.  Prior to joining our practice she worked as a receptionist in a small animal veterinary clinic, and spent five years on a working cattle ranch in Eastern Oregon.

Charlene has always been a horse lover, and as a youth participated in barrel racing and pole bending.  She still enjoys rodeo, and is an active member of the Molalla Buckaroo rodeo committee.  When she does have time in the saddle she enjoys trail riding and horse camping with her son, Cole.

            Charlene currently resides in Oregon City with Cole, their two Australian Shepherds, two cats and a rabbit.

Fernando joined our team in 2009 and is responsible for just about everything. He cares for PCS resident horses, maintains our facility, and keeps our trucks on the road. Fernando is currently completing ESL classes at Clackamas Community College and hopes to pursue his bachelor's degree.
Fernando resides in West Linn with Myrna and their baby Jessica
