Elizabeth Fortier, DVM
Associate Veterinarian

dr fortierDr. Fortier is a graduate of Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where she was the recipient of the American Association of Equine Practitioners American Livestock Insurance Company Scholarship, and served as Vice President of the student chapter of the AAEP. She comes to PCS after completing an internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky, a prestigious position that involved working on blue-blooded Thoroughbreds alongside some of the countries most respected veterinarians. Dr. Fortier was recently elected to the Board for the Northwest Equine Practitioner's Association.

Dr Fortier is currently working with Dr. Posey to manage the dentistry services at PCS, and has a strondr fortierg interest in reproduction. Her long-term goal is to develop an acupuncture program that will support our patients in all areas of their lives.

While Thoroughbred racing has been her particular interest, Dr Fortier has a life-long involvement in many Sporthorse disiplines. A hometown girl, she has returned to Portland where she grew up riding both over fences and in the dressage arena. Always up for a challenge, she has a soft spot for problem children and spent most of her time riding other people's wild horses rather than competing.

Dr Fortier lives in Lake Oswego, along with two extremely fat orange and white cats. She still spends her off hours in the saddle, riding anything she can get her hands on.
